I know very little about banjos themselves but being a guitar player of sorts I feel confident in detailing the following :-
Unknown Maker...appears to be early 20thC
Beautifully engraved back plate See photograph 2 ....no scratches dents or corrosion.
Overall Length 34 inches
Diameter 11.25 inches
Depth 3 inches.
One piece mahogany neck with volute
The neck is not warped, no splits or damage but does have a slight bowing ( see photograph 5 )
18 inch fingerboard...possibly rosewood??.... all frets present.... virtually no fret wear. In my opinion the fret ends needs filing down as they protrude very slightly and feel sharp.
As highlighted in photograph 3 there might be 2 brackets missing
The 5 tuning pegs work, not broken, pretty low grade though and dont sound capable at all in keeping this instrument in tune.
Apart from that mentioned this instrument has no specific damage and overall in itself in good condition
