Pilot TV-37U; this is the model with the ballast tube and 6controls in the rear panel. It has a good 3KP4 installed (this is the black and white tube) and comes with a relatively new 3KP1 (green tube) in its original box. I have been repairing and restoring TVs, radios, phonographs, wire recorders and film projectors for 40 years, following in my father’s footsteps. I am retired and selling off all of my collections and spare parts though I still repair car radios from the 50s and 60s.

The screen images were from the connection to a Heathkit dot/bar generator. I no longer have a working sweep generator so I can’t do an alignment. All the electrolytics were changed except for C3 (40/80 can) along with the HV capacitors. I believe the tubes are all within spec, perhaps 1/3 of the resistors have been replaced. There is a CL-90 current limiter installed in AC input line. All the knobs are original but one which is a good reproduction (purchased on eBay). The case and base are in good condition, the power cord is not original. The speaker, though working, has a damaged center. The TV and the 3KP1 will be shipped in two different boxes. This is the last of my Pilot devices (I sold off a Pilot portable radio last year). I read somewhere that there were only 4000 of these TVs manufactured; this one is not done being restored but Iam leaving that to the next fellow to enjoy.
