An unusual and handsome pair of hand made brass banded oak "vases" or utensil holders. They are stamped 1926 on the bases and WIA on the base rims. They are in good condition with no splits or damage to the wood. The brass bands are securely riveted, but some sit quite loosely on the oak body, and a couple of them have been packed out with something to make them fit better. The grain and colour of the wood is very attractive, and they look great as they are, but it may be possible to tinker with the bands to improve the fit.

Each one measures 20.5cm tall and 11cm in diameter across the base.
The oak is nearly 1cm thick.
