Up for sale is this made in England, Orvis Battenkill Disc 7/8 fly reel. With its traditional appearance, great value, and proven disc drag system, the original Battenkill Disc is one of the best selling fly reels of all time. The 7/8 model will hold about 170 yds. of 20 lb. backing with a WF7F line or 120 yds. with a WF8F.
The reel looks like it has seen a fair of amount of use, showing some rubs and scrapes. It works quite well, possessing a strong drag. It is set up for left hand retrieve, and spooled with backing and a Rio WF7F/I line (floating line with clear intermediate tip).
