Description

The 622 A.T. & S.F. NW2 diesel switcher was one of the first switchers produced by Lionel. It is a reliable diesel with excellent quality and attention to detail. Even in today's marketplace, it's a desirable diesel. The 622 is one of two bell ringing switchers produced by Lionel -- the other being the 6220, an 027 version of the 622 switcher. Lionel had installed a small bell inside the diesel. As the train travelled along the track, the bell produced a continuous and frequent 'ding'. Standard features of the 622 includes: two axle Magnetraction, three-position E-unit, headlight at each end, dual operating coil type couplers, front marker lights, wire handrail plus GM & Santa Fe decals, black ornamental bell, silver ornamental horn and a radio wheel. This one has '622' on Front - It is estimated the earliest part of 1949 production cycle included the numbers on the cab front. This is the hardest 622 switcher to locate. The 6520 Searchlight Car was the first searchlight car produced by Lionel in the postwar era. It is a good representation of a real searchlight car. Soon, every Lionel town had at least one searchlight on the layout. The 6520 is a reliable operating car. It was included in many work train sets as well as being available for separate sale. Finding a searchlight car is easy, however collectable versions such as this one, will be a bit harder to locate. Standard features on the 6520 include: painted gray die-cast depressed-center frame with black lettering, metal footsteps at each corner, a single brakewheel and brakestand plus a simulated generator. The car was always produced with operating staple-end trucks and serif lettering. The 6520 searchlight car is known for its variations regarding the color of the simulated generator and the metal used for the searchlight housing. The simulated generator was available to the public in three colors. The very earliest 6520 production included a green generator. The green generator was soon replaced with a maroon generator. Finally, sometime in 1950, the maroon generator was ultimately replaced with an orange generator. The orange generator remained the norm for the rest of the production run as well as all future generator cars. The green generator, such as this one, is very rare. The 3469 Coal Dump Car (also known as the automatic ore dump car) is a continuation of it predecessor -- the 3459 operating coal dump car. The major difference is the coupler type -- now updated to reflect Lionel's new magnetic couplers. The 3469 is a versatile freight car. It can operate with any of Lionel's coal-related accessories such as: 97 Coal Elevator, 397 Coal Loader or the 497 Coaling Station. The 3469 is known for its sturdiness and reliability. Standard features of the 3469 include: two operating couplers, operating tray plus a brakewheel, brakestand and platform at each end. Domestic Customers: If you and Trainz decide that the best recourse is to return the item for refund or repair we will send you a pre-paid return call tag at no cost (except for returns due to customer remorse). Make sure to include your contact and order information when you return your items. Once Trainz receives and inspects the items we will repair your item or issue a refund.

International Customers: Before selecting 'Return this item' through eBay, please consider contacting Trainz first by selecting 'Contact Seller' under 'More actions' and give us an opportunity to resolve your issue.
