Here we have a beautiful lightweight G&L USA CLF Research L-1000 electric 4- string bass. Made in the USA in Fullerton CA in 2022. The CLF Research L-1000 is a nod to Leo Fender's original designs. Made in the same place as the originals. The L-1000 features a Swamp Ash body with a Maple neck and fingerboard. Gloss finish all around including the neck. It has G&L's Slim neck profile with a 1 5/8ths nut width and a 9.5" fingerboard radius. The bass weighs in at 9lbs 3oz and balances very well. The bass is strung with 45- 100's and is playing great. The neck is nice and straight and the truss rod is working perfectly. The frets are in great shape with very minimal signs of wear. No major divots. Playing great up and down the neck.
Cosmetically, the bass is in very good condition. There are very light swirls and marks on the gloss finish. There are a couple of dings with some paint chips (see photos). They are on the bottom of the bass. The headstock has some small nicks and chips. The back of the neck is mostly smooth with a couple of small indents. You can feel them with your hands but they don't hang you up while playing. Electronics are working perfectly and a fresh 9v battery has been installed. Ready to rock!
The bass comes with a G&L soft bag, We do not have the paperwork for the bass but we were able to get a copy of the spec sheet from G&L. Posted below. Thanks for looking and happy buying!
