This is the "Lamborghini Aventador LP780-4 Ultime Roadster 2021" produced as a 1/18 scale handmade model car by "EIDOLON".
This model is a faithful reproduction of the new "Lamborghini Aventador LP780-4 Ultime Roadster" which was presented as the "Final Model" in July 2021.
The Aventador LP780-4 Ultime Roadster, which has been well received in 1/43 scale, will also be released in large scale.
Vehicle Description
The Aventador was introduced in 2011. The Aventador LP780-4 Ultimae Roadster was released online in 2021, exactly 10 years after its debut, to reflect the times.
Ultimae means "last" as well as "ultimate," and in anticipation of Lamborghini's planned electrification of all its cars in 2024, the Aventador LP780-4 Ultimae Roadster is the culmination and most powerful version of the V12-cylinder models that have been produced since 1964, equipped with a naturally aspirated unit that generates 780 horsepower, as the car's name implies. It has a top speed of 355 km/h and 0-100 km/h acceleration in only 2.8 seconds, which is astonishing.
The exterior of the coupe is fitted with a specially designed bumper, but it does not have an independent rear wing, as was the case with many past special editions, but rather an electrically retractable active aero system, giving it an appearance that suits the word "sophisticated.
Production is limited to 350 units of the coupe and 250 units of the roadster, but despite its high price of approximately 55 million yen, the car has already sold out.
At launch, the Coupe was presented in a chic matte gray color, while the Roadster was presented in a fresh two-tone blue.
Model Description
The body was designed based on the 3D data of the actual car provided by Lamborghini, but the prototype data was created separately from the 1/43 model, and the surface expression and detail resolution were adjusted to look more like the actual car according to the scale.
The front bumper, which is a characteristic of Ultime, is sculpted thin and sharp just like the real car, and carbon pattern decals are applied to the diffuser which is set up in a two-tiered configuration below the bumper, and a matte clear coating is applied over the decals for texture.
The carbon decals found throughout the body were applied by skilled craftsmen in several parts so that the weave is perfectly aligned, making it difficult to find the dividing lines.
The wheels are injection-molded parts with excellent sharpness and strength, and are painted and set.
The body was designed with a prototype that was also carefully designed for the thickness of the ducts and the "clean" look of the "missing" parts. However, it is difficult to produce many bodies with a single mold because the molding of intricate parts does not release easily, and the mold is damaged quickly.
Naturally, productivity is lowered and costs are reduced, but our company places the highest priority on product quality, and if even the slightest deterioration of the mold is observed, the mold is immediately replaced with a new mold to maintain the sharpness of the mold.
