DATING TO THE 1870’S
FASHIONED OF A WOOL BLEND WITH A BRIGHT, BRILLIANT METALLIC GOLD LAME BROCADE THROUGHOUT THE WEAVE.
TRIMMED IN TASSEL SCARLET RED SILK CHENILLE AROUND THE BAND COLLAR AND DOWN THE FRONT AND UP EACH SIDE WITH THE ARM HOLES OPEN FROM THE COLLAR TO BOTTOM.
REAR IS CUT IN BUSTLE FASHION. INTERIOR LINED IN A GREY POLISHED COTTON. HOOK AND EYES CLOSE THE COLLAR WITH HOOK AND EYES ON THE FRONT EDGES.
CONDITION: ONE POINT OF THE CHENILLE TRIM NEEDS TO BE TACKED BACK ON THE TOP LEFT CORNER. THE INTERIOR LINING HAS A DARK STIFF STAINING ON THE INNER RIGHT SHOULDER AND RIGHT COLLAR EDGE, NONE OF WHICH IS SEEN FROM THE EXTERIOR.
