DATING TO THE EARLY EDWARDIAN ERA
FASHIONED OF A LAVENDER COTTON AND SILK BLEND CREPE FABRIC WITH BLACK VELVET AND WHITE LACE TRIMMING THE PLEAT FOLDS OF EACH SIDE WITH A BILLOWING AND RUCHED SILK CHIFFON FRONT.
MATCHING SILK CHIFFON PLEATED HIGH COLLAR IS TRIMMED IN THE LACE AND VELVET WITH VELVET BELTING AROUND THE WAIST TRIMMED WITH A BOW OFF TO THE SIDE.
THREE QUARTER SLEEVES ARE TRIMMED IN THE LACE AND VELVET WITH A BOTTOM BILLOWING PLEATED SILK CHIFFON PUFF BOTTOM SLEEVE FINISHED IN VELVET.
INTERIOR IS IN A UTILITARIAN COTTON AND IS FULLY BONED. NO MARKINGS TO THE PETERSHAM.
CONDITION: THE FRONT PANEL AND HIGH COLLAR WERE LINED IN A SILK TAFFETA AND WHAT REMAINS IS BREAKING WITH MUCH OF THE SILK REMOVED FROM THE HIGH COLLAR. THREE PINHEAD HOLES ARE ON THE CENTER REAR BACK.
