This likely farm-made old piece is in good vintage condition: the only flaw found are faint bleeding issues, due to the blue fabric used on the appliques bleeding into the creamy cotton and, in one case, affecting a swatch made of other color: all the photos showing those situations contain a ruler, indicating where the stains are; in some cases, there are 2 stains, one from a distance, so  you can see the location, and one closer, so you see the details.

There are some tiny spots on the borders of the quilt, the ones hanging from the edges of the bed.

We found no rips or holes, busted stitches on the appliques, and it has no odors. The rough sack cotton (possibly burlap) backing is also in good shape, no issues to report.

There are no odors.

The quilt measures 89" by 71" including the borders, that exist on 3 sides only; the top side, as seen on the pics, has binding, but no border.

The borders are approximately 10" wide, so the center piece of the quilt, which contain the appliques, measures 51" across and 78" in length. The bed in the photos is a queen, 80" by 60".

This item weighs 3 1/2 lb. unboxed: it is a bit heavy, considering it has no batting.

Notice the borders have pink binding.

The fabrics used to make the appliques are feed sacks; all the stitching was done by hand, as well as the quilting. The quilting on the corners of the blocks were applied in fan pattern (see close-up # 23).

The quilt has no batting at all: it is just the applique top and the heavy cotton (possibly unbleached feed sack material) backing, nothing between them.
