I have been collecting car audio since the 90's, and now it is time to pass some of them on.

I connected power and an amplifier to this Sony XR-100. I tuned in a few FM stations and listened to music, even set two stations on the pre-sets and it worked Great. AM played well also.

All things worked without flaw, I switched from AM, ST, MONO, DIV OFF. I adjusted the Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader and Tuning Band, everything seemed to work just fine.

Both RCA Outputs worked with the external amplifier. As did the Remote Turn On/Off for the amplifier.

I'm listening this for Parts/Non working ONLY because I could not get it to play a tape. It slowly started to load the Cassette but then stops and pushes it partly out (Pictured). The Eject Button works great and while the cassette was partly loaded I pushed the Forward button and I could hear movement like it was working just not spinning the tape as it was not fully loaded. The Direction DIR Button also works as pictured.

I'm not sure what else to say about this unite. Please take a close look at the pictures for Condition as judgments will vary. That being said the unit in person looks pretty amazing for being around 40yrs old.
