"During the Japanese occupation of French Indochina (1940-1945), the colonial administration did not receive fresh supplies of stamps from France. For this reason they resorted to printing their own stamps at a print shop in Hanoi. These stamps were of lower quality than the pre-war stamps, and in addition, the machinery used for this purpose gradually deteriorated, with limited possibilities of repairing it."

*DISCLAIMER*        I am not a philatelist or even casual collector. The Scott #'s, grades, perforations, hinge use, cancel types, years and centering are all "educated" guesses based on internet research. I feel the prices are based on the lower values of these stamps. If a rare one is included, hats off to you, you benefit. If they're all low end, I feel you still get a fair value and a fine addition to any collection, especially beginner ones. I sell based mostly on the photos, which I take personally and are always of the actual item(s) for bid. I never utilize deceiving, "kind of looks like this" stock photos like many other sellers rely on. If you feel I have deceived you in my description of the item(s), I will reimburse your purchase price (not shipping) as long as you have adhered to all of eBay’s rules. Thank you very much for your patronage or inquiry.
