For sale is a new mic converter-adapter for vintage Shure microphones, such as the 51, 55, 55S, 55SW, 708. It will also fit the Astatic 77 mic. Now you can use readily available XLR cables on your vintage Shure microphones! NOTE: This adapter provides Low Impedance Output. Plug the adapter into your vintage Shure mic, tighten the locking ring and you now have a mic that uses XLR cables. If you later want to convert the mic back to the Shure 3-pin cables, simply remove the adapter and the microphone is restored to original condition. The adapter is hand-crafted in my shop in the U.S.A. and is a heavy-duty unit. It should last as long as your vintage mics. The converter is guaranteed for 30 days against defects in materials or workmanship. The unit is a compact 2-1/2 inches in length.
