Please see the photographs for track listings.

Thank you for looking at my CDs. Over the next few months I will be listing a large selection of eclectic CDs, cassettes and vinyl records, mainly from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, also some from the 00’s.

When I began selling records, tapes and CDs on here I religiously followed the “Record Collectors” guide for grading them. But I have noticed over the months that very many sellers seem to take no notice of any sort of grading system and give a very vague or brief description of the disc, case & insert, with some using OK and Good but nothing else and no mention of scratches or marks. I wonder if some buyers take any notice of the condition too as they still seem to buy, and pay large sums for some CDs that have been vaguely and minimally described?

I have hundreds to list and hopefully sell so you will understand that I have not got the time to listen to them all the way through. When describing I have probably been a bit too honest and harsh on my CDs, but I would rather you know exactly what you are getting before you make a bid.

If you are not entirely happy with any CD I will, with no quibbles refund in full where appropriate. But please bear in mind that these CDs, unless sealed are all pre-owned and so they may well display the inevitable small signs of use etc. Unless a CD is Mint it is going to have small surface scratches or even manufacturing flaws, also some marks that appear in the photographs are caused by the flash. Discs do scratch and some will have small scratches which do not affect the playback. If a disc is described as Excellent expect to see some very light scratching as it is not Near Mint or Mint. Basically one persons Excellent can be another persons Very Good.

You have probably noticed that a CD that appears to have no scratches in good daylight shows up several small scratches when viewed under bright electric light. In essence please do not expect a pristine “brand new” CD, as the cover and the disc are pre-owned. I have tried to list all major / obvious marks etc but this is becoming very time consuming so any small blemishes or marks are covered under general wear. If you require “in-depth” analysis please contact me.

I do not own a professional disc cleaner so I am unable to clean them to exacting standards. I do clean them with recommended cleaning fluids and an anti-static cloth prior to photographing and again before packing. Everybody has their own personal preferences for cleaning and some methods I believe can do more harm than good, so I am very careful not to be too enthusiastic when cleaning and avoid any of the subjective methods that abound on the internet.

As anyone who has tried to photograph CDs will know, it is an “art” in itself, and can be very frustrating. Flash, no flash, distortion versus clarity I have tried all angles and lighting to best capture the condition and presence of scratches or imperfections whilst attempting to display detail and / or any faults etc. Also any surface marks and/or scratches tend to look worse in photographs than they actually are.

I will accept returns for genuine reasons and faults and refund in full, but life is too short to dispute a description, as we can all make unintentional mistakes and please do not hold me to “ransom” to get an extra pound off rather than returning for a full refund.

Please take the time to study the accompanying photographs as these are of the actual CD, case and inlay for sale and should be used in conjunction with the description. They are not stock photographs and are of the actual item you will receive. If you require more photographs before deciding to bid please let me know and I will email to you. Please note in photographs of the playing side of the CD there are reflections of cooking utensils and pots hanging from the ceiling in my kitchen – these are not marks or spots on the CD its just the best place for me to take photographs.

With regards to postage I am happy to combine postage, so if you win more than one CD please wait until I send you an invoice with the adjusted postage on it. I use the Royal Mail for postage so that you are not waiting up to two weeks for a courier service.

If International buyers are interested in bidding please contact me so that we can arrange a price that is fair to both of us. But the postage can be far more than you pay for the CD.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries at all.

Lastly, I will leave feedback for every purchase. Return feedback is not obligatory but it does let me know that you have received it and are happy with it.

 Happy bidding!
