Up for sale is an absolutely stunning and very intriguing prpjection lens. The lens was obtained from the military warehouse and looks like nothing I've seen before.

The lens is fully covering the GFX sensor with no dark corners at all!

As the lens has no information on it about it's focal length and an aperture value, I've made some test and came to the conclusion that the focal length of the lens is about 130-140mm and the aperture value is somewhere between f1.5 and f1.6.

This lens was rehoused to Fuji GFX mount, as it performs with these cameras the best and further I'll explain you why. IMHO, the very best thing of using large sensor cameras as Fuji GFX - is with some lenses you may achive that unique true Medium Format (and even Large Format) look, with amazing 3D main object pop-up and unique background separation. The best lenses for that purpose appears to be the original GF lenses, the lenses that were made specifically for GFX sensor and...the projection lenses! Looking at the attached pictures, which were made with this particular lens and GFX50R camera, you probably may see - what I'm talking about ;-)

As the lens was originaly used for projection equipment - it has no iris aperture. However, it's not an issue at all, as to achive that "MF/LF", you have to use these lenses on wide open. Looking at my ebay store, you may see that I have an experience of installing the iris aperture in the lenses, which don't have it originally, so I can do it for these lenses as well. However, I personally don't see any good reason for that: stop down an aperture and the pictures from these lenses will look absolutely ordinary and like nothing special. Shot wide open and you reveal the magic ;-)

Due to the type of the lens rehousing, the lens may focus very close and might be used for a close portraits. Also the focus range goes beyond infinity point, so don't be scared ;-)

Now lets talk about the condition of this lens. The lens is basically in very good shape. The  lens may have some marks in the metal body + one little blemish on the rear element , but nothing that may affect the image quality, which is normal for the used lenses. Overall this lens looks very good to it's age. I'm pretty sure, that it will be very hard to find the same lenses in such a condition nowadays.

The lens comes with the original front cover.
