This beautiful early piece of transfer printed Staffordshire was made about 1820, in the Staffordshire district of England. This pattern is known to Staffordshire collectors as "American Villa", although most Staffordshire experts do not believe it is an American view. This is an unmarked plate that has a beautiful dark blue transfer of a mna, woman and mule in the foreground with a building ona river in the background.
