Vintage Wedding Dress & Veil
11 July 1953
Plus a wonderful [dated] photo of the bride leaving the house. She is about to get into the wedding car taking her to the church & the chauffeur holding her bouquet while the neighbours look on
This was an English tradition - the neighbours would all come out to see the bride off & many would wait outside the church to throw confetti or rice at the couple for good luck
Damask Ivory lined bodice with hand covered buttons & hand finished rouleau loops
Sleeves are finished to a point with covered buttons & hand finished rouleau loops
Zip in side seam
4 layered skirt
Size 12 approx
Could easily be taken in to fit a size 8 or 10
The side seams have another 3.5 cm so this could also be altered & let out to fit a size 14

Front bust 51.5 cm [side seam to top of dart each side 15 cm, top dart to top of dart 21.5 cm]
