This print depicts the Battle of Coal Harbor June 1st 1864. The Army of the Potomac advancing towards Richmond encounteredthe enemy entrenched at Coal Harbor, on June 1st about half past fiveA.M. the order was given to charge the Rebel Works, and the Union troopsadvanced under a heavy fire of grape and cannister, driving the rebelsbefore them and taking the position which was firmly held in spite of theenemy's desperate efforts to regain it.

This sm. Folio Measures 12 3/8" L x 8"W of the Print. Including margins this measures 13 7/8"L by 10 1/8" W. This Print shows foxing and toning. Good overall coloring and margin size. This print has a 11 1/2" taped tear across the print.  It comes taped to the matted board.
