Here we have a fantastic, rare and enigmatic Coaxer from the Upper Midwest, possibly a Native American piece, dating from the 1940's or earlier.  Measuring 12 1/2" long, painted a cream all over, with burn slashes all along both sides and top, accented with red paint.  The eyes are also burnt indentations, accented with red.  Below the cream coat, traces of silver paint peek out.  A great piece of History, from the North Woods, with a terrific patina appropriate to its age.
