APPLE IIc
Computer

UPGRADED
ROM4X

This is a fully working and upgraded Apple IIc computer system.

The ROM was upgraded to Rom4x. Please read here for all the BIOS upgrade details:

This has the original keyboard, but it is working pretty good. You can buy cheaper mostly working IIc's but they are not nearly as clean and tested as this system, nor have the rom 4x upgrade!

It boots from the internal floppy disk drive as normal. The Rom IC is stored in the case next to ROM4x upgrade if you have a need for it.

This system was totally disassembled. The case, handle, keycaps, floppy drive faceplate, and eject leaver washed and thoroughly cleaned. Then they were all Retro-Brited. (the apple logo removed first) They all look very, very close the original white or gray color.

The motherboard had all the socketed IC’s removed. It was washed and dried for a week or more. The chips were placed and the motherboard tested. Any bad ram (if any) was removed, and replaced with a good quality socket(s), and tested good ram chip(s). After testing with the original ROM, the ROM4x was installed and the board retested.

The keyboard base unit was washed and cleaned, then dried for a week or more. The spacebar retro-brited to a slightly different color then the other keys. This seems normal for these keyboards.

The floppy drive was opened up. The front bezel and door leaver removed. The black top was washed. The drive was thoroughly dusted out. The head was thoroughly cleaned. The head travel rails cleaned and relubricated. The door leaver open/close mechanism was also lubricated. The small ribbon cable cleaned.

The keyboard was reassembled and all keys appear to be working normally.

There are some nicks around the system. Nothing bad, but should be noted. The bottom label is as how it was received.

The old sticky decaying rubber feet have been replaced with similar new feet.

The power supply, monitor and disk are not included. A new power supply would be a much safer solution anyway.

It will be well packed for shipping. The box may not look pretty, but the computer will be safe.

This item is definitely not under any manufacturer warranty. Must be sold as is. No guaranty real or implied.
