Description

Beautiful vintage silver award medal featuring a regal German Shepherd dog on one side along with "Verein Fur Deutsche Schaferhunde" which translates from German into English as "Association of German Shepherds". Also, the letters "SV"-I am not sure what that stands for. On the reverse is "Dem Verdienste" which translates from German into English as "To the Merit". Measures 1.5" around and weighs 25.1 grams or .88 ounces. The quarter is for a sizing reference. As you can see from my photos, the medal is in very nice vintage condition. Was awarded to the second place winner in a dog show competition years and years ago. Nice piece for the lover of German Shepherds or to add to your collection of dog show memorabilia!
