For sale is a bone china trinket box, made in Limoges. It has been hand-painted by Peter Graves with 3 scenes of sheep in snowy landscapes(see pics.2-4). The ends of the box feature gold & blue dots on a pale yellow coloured ground(see pic.5). The clasp is fashioned in the form of a flower head(see pic.6). The box measures a little over 2 1/2"(6.25cms) wide, a little under 1 5/8"(4cms) deep & a little over 1 1/8"(3cms) tall. It is marked "sheep" to the underside of the lid(see pic.7), fully marked to the base(see pic.8) and numbered, "1/1". The box is in great condition. The only negative being some tarnishing/discolouration around the clasp and hinge(see pics.6 & 10).
