This is a beautiful and rare set made of a pitcher and 4 mugs.
This set is hand painted and signed by the listed artist Arnold Rhodes,
who worked for the Pickard China Studio in Chicago between 1922 and 1925.
He also worked for the Julius Brauer and the Tolpin studios.
The pitcher bears the white ware mark of  Jager and Co. BAVARIA.
The cups are not marked but one of them is signed by the artist. Their porcelain
is fine and translucent, probably Bavaria porcelain also.
The set is decorated with hand painted cherries, white flowers and leaves.
The handles and the edges are  heavily gilded
The pitcher is 7 1/2" wide from the spout to the handle and is 5 1/2" high
to the tip of the spout.
The mugs are 3 1/2" high and have an opening of 2 1/2".
The set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks nor repairs.
The gold is also in great condition with minimum wear if any.
This set looks unused as if it was always treasured.
The set will be shipped insured and double boxed.
