Up for sale is absolutely stunning and definitely one of the rarest lenses in whole WORLD - Carl Zeiss Yena DDR Lamegon 110mm f16.
There is close to zero information about this lens in whole entire internet - so rare it is. Please don't be confused and not mix this 110mm f16 Lamegon with much more common Lamegon 110mm f8, which was produced for Large Format cameras, as this lens is completely different and much more complex unit.
As far as I know - this lens was made for Aerial shooting purpose with super limited number of production as its completely unknown among of the internet!
This lens is going in original focusing helicoid, what you rarely might see among of the Aerial lenses. This lens also has unique aperture unit, which has no iris blades, but rather have blades with an aperture holes in it - kinda like it was in old brass large format lenses.
As far as I can see, this lens has far more greater image coverage then 4x5.
According to this Lamegon lenses construction we might see that it is super wide angle lens for LF equipment, so after mounting it in some shutter and mounting plate it might serve very well for superior landscape shots.
Now lets talk about the condition of this lens. The lens is basically in good used shape. The lens body is showing some usage marks, which is normal for the vintage lenses. The lens glasses has some light cleaning marks on it, some dust inside. The only one thing that I need to mention, is that the front element of this lens has a marks on the coating, left by previously presence of fungus - the fungus was cleaned completely, but you can still see the marks from it, under the certain angle of view. An aperture ring moves smooth. I'm pretty sure, that it will be NO POSSIBLE to find the same lens even in such a condition now days as its extremely rare!
The lens is coming with original front and rear caps.
