From a very respectful source militarycarryknives.com: "The Command I knives were made similar to the Mark I knife, but only have one and a third sharpened edges. The distinguishing characteristic is that the top 1/3 sharpened edge is serrated. In production from late 1979/early 1980 to 1994". Blackened blade offered in 1984. Based on the blue box this knife is from 1990's.
