Here we have a set of 6 high quality painted porcelain figures of theatrical characters. Some have the character name to the base although a couple are hard to read.
These all have blue cross marks and would have been made by Samson of Paris circa late 19th century.
These super figures are very scarce and are rarely seen as a set. We have 11 in total and would consider an offer on the whole set.
Most do have small faults as follows (from left to right in main photo):
1) Apothecaire - loss to two fingers only
2) Imaginana? - loss to one finger only
3) Tubby man - loss to one thumb only
4) Inclusion? - loss to three fingers only
5) Man carrying jewellery box - missing hand and one finger
6) Crispin - left arm repaired and missing the item he is holding
These measure circa 17 cm high.
