English Victorian Chased Decorated Silverplate Coffee Pot
with Cotton Bag Stainer,
circa 1880's.

We are delighted to offer this wonderful antique late 19th century English made silverplate coffee pot with original cotton bag strainer. Made & back stamped by renowned Silversmith, ' Mappin & Webb of London & Sheffield '. Also stamped ' Electro Britania Metal 8413 '. Silverplate with fabulous hand chased bright cut details & has original cotton bag strainer ( with some age related holes ). Angled & base ribbed spout, white bone lid finial & heat insulated bone disc handle. This pot comes direct from a recent estate sale & is sold in as found antique condition. Lovely age related surface scuffs & delightful silverplate surface patination. Overall display very nicely indeed & could be used as intended.
