This is a beautiful and rare Antique 19th century Bronze Mantel Clock, with dial signed "Ball Black & Co" of NY.

A stunning and very large, solid bronze clock, retailed in the 19th century by exclusive retailer "Ball Black & Co" (a competitor if Tiffany).  It's serial number 2281 (on both the brass works and the bronze case).

Clock is untested, and the rear crystal door cover is cracked (fortunately can't be seen from the front), and the pendulum has one (of its 2) hanging fingers broken off.

Comes with it's original pendulum, and (key with large socket and small socket for the Fast/Slow indicator at the top of the dial).

Appears to have remnants of its original (gilt?) surface.  Clock is unpolished and has an old (and dusty) patina.

Tremendous quality and detail in all respects (Woman, base etc.), with brass dial, and glass dial crystal is beveled!  Please view the many photos
that show the amazing quality of this clock.

Clock is about 21" tall, by 14.5" long (at base) and 7" deep (at base).
It weighs a very substantial approx 27 lbs.

An absolutely rare and museum quality piece, worthy of restoration.

Buyer is welcome to avoid shipping costs and pick up this clock in person at our Avon, CT location.
