This was mine when I was a kid and I can say with certainty it saw little if any use.  Been stored away for decades.  The plastic cover  sleeve is a little stiff with age (like I am now) but the slide rule is in excellent condition.  Calculators came out not long after I got it, and that was the end of using a slide rule.  Appears to be made of bamboo and is really nice quality.
