This is a vintage Raymond Weil wristwatch, 5483-2, with moon and calendar features. The case is in excellent condition with no damage or significant wear (see pic); 18 K gold electroplated; beautiful bright white Roman dial with calendar windows and moonphase aperture; crystal is clear and perfect. The black 'Croco' leather band is original; shows no real wear but has some separation on the tongue end (see pic, easily repairable). The watch was a gift from an old friend years ago; had been worn only briefly and has been in long storage since then. A week ago, it was taken to a local jewelry store (with watchmaker) to have a new battery installed; they said everything looked okay and the watch is running. There is no factory box but there is an RW pouch with a small brochure and the warranty card of Merksamer Jewelers (Sacramento) where the watch was purchased. The watch has been authenticated by the Raymond Weil specialist in New York; said it was produced before serial numbers were embossed on the back cover. This watch, with its complications, is a very nice example of luxury quartz watch. The Weil company was a pioneer in the introduction of quartz technology to high-end watchmaking in Geneva, long renowned for mechanical watches and excellent craftsmanship.

Thanks for looking. If you bid, good luck!
