This is a pair of vintage of Chinese/Asian silk hand embroidered fabric panels, framed. The pieces of fabric could be sleeve panels and they are decorated with intricate hand embroidered scenes of a garden. There is a girl standing in the center of each panel, and trees, flowers, bridges and gazebos all around her. The dominant colors are blues and greens of various shades, with some gold tone and grey decorations on the margins. The panels are framed in brown frames and marked on the back with stickers: "Th Veerhoff Galleries Washington D.,C., Established 1871". The age of the fabric pieces in unknown but they look old. They are about 24" long and 8 1/4" wide. Each frame weighs about 2 lb 1 oz. There is no damage to the fabric panels, they are just wrinkled inside the frames. The frames themselves are a little scratched which is to be expected with use. These pieces of textiles are beautiful and they would make a nice addition to any collection of Chinese/Asian art and fabrics.
