Visible signs of wear of course it is a pocket-watch from circa 1917.
Scratches, scuffs, small dings, some brassing as well.
Caseback is engraved with an early version of the U.S. Marine Corps Emblem.
Which was used around WWI to WWII - which makes sense for the age of the pocket watch.
