I purchased this beautiful Java Green Austin/Morris 1275GT last year to re-live the ownership of one I owned many years ago.
However, I am now 70 and my body isn’t quite as flexible as it used to be!

This car was bought new from Dutton Forshaw at Maidstone in June 1979 and delivered to Yorkshire where it was first registered.
I do have the Heritage certificate showing this and that all the other details are correct.

The car is tax and mot exempt, and also London ULEZ charge exempt.

I purchased it from a local young man who, together with his father, a retired motor engineer brought it in Yorkshire and then returned it back to Kent and carried out a full restoration fitting new inner and outer wings, floor panels, boot floor and various other panels.

The engine was rebuilt and the gearbox was overhauled by a local company.
The entire suspension renewed. New shock absorbers, Hi-lo adjustable suspension units were fitted, with new brake callipers and discs and the entire braking system renewed together with the wiring loom and many additional new parts.

I have the receipts for most of the parts purchased as part of the documentation totalling just over £7300.00

The interior has been replaced with basket weave seats covers from Newton Commercials, as the original Beige nylon type seat covers are no longer available, and a new black headlining fitted.

I have had a set of period Mini-light alloy wheels fitted together with new tyres of the correct size, but I also still have the 6J mini-lights which are fitted with Yokohama tyres and have done less than 200 miles available to buy separately or change for those fitted.

As can be seen in the photos during and following the restoration work, the car is in excellent condition and it is a credit to the father and son who carried out the restoration work.
I know the photos show the wrong boot badge, but I have now changed this for the correct one for the year.

The car has now come full circle as I live less than 1 mile from where Dutton Forshaw, the supplying dealer was situated in Maidstone.

Viewing is welcome and expected but as I do not keep the car at my home address, viewing is by appointment.

I am sure there is much more I can say about the car, but should you have any questions please ask.
Please note, that although eBay list me as a business seller this is incorrect and they will not change it.

The car is registered to me at my home address and I have the V5c, HPi check from when I purchased the car, Heritage Certificate showing date of build 29 December 1978, plus many receipts and the original handbook for the car.
