Alfred Lanternier Limoges Large Jug Pitcher Hand Painted Yellow Green Embossed
Pleased to offer a very pretty and highly embossed hand painted French Limoges helmet style jug or pitcher. It is marked on the base with the Alfred Lanternier & Cie , Limoges France mark that was used from 1890's to 1910. The base is interesting as it also has an embossed pattern.
The jug features hand painted yellow florals with green and gilt. the rim, handle and embossed areas of the porcelain are painted in soft greens and yellow.
The jug measures 4 1/2 inches in height at top of handle. From spout to handle is 6 1/2 inches. Height at top of spout is 3 1/2 inches. The condition is excellent. I can find no chips, cracks or crazing or discolorations.
