This model of SONY, one of the most popular multi band shortwaves receivers, works on all bands including FM, medium wave, Public Service and 3 short wave bands. Tested with built-in AC cord(110V) and 4 "D" batteries (not included). Sound is loud, crisp and clear. All buttons/ switches work as intended without any static or scratchiness. Dial light and tuning meter work perfectly. Antenna is complete, almost straight ; does have minor curves, no kink or bend, extends and retracts perfectly. Battery compartment has been cleaned.
