Full restoration of a 1987  Rayleigh Road Bike, Criterium 12 model.  Fully working.  Has been stripped down, frame  resprayed with metallic enamel paint.  All  parts cleaned/polished. Rebuilt using correct grease/anti-seize compound as appropriate


62 cm seat tube height (large), 56 cm top tube length.  Please check this is the right size for you


Frame:  lightweight Reynolds 501 chromalloy -M, butted tubes.


Wheels: hollow section 700 C eyeletted alloy


Chromed headset and Sakae custom light alloy stem, engraved drop bars


Weinmann 570 QR brakes, Adamas Aero levers


Light alloy Sachs Huret derailleur with white aero levers, 6 speed, 14/15/17/19/21/24 T


Sakae Alloy cranks, 52/42T chainrings


Sakae SP 250 alloy platform pedals.   Chrome toecage* (size S/M) and real leather straps*

* Indicates new replica part.  Also it has  brand new gear and brake cables, cable outers,  brake blocks, inner tubes, bar tape, tyres and chain.

 


The old saddle was broken and  I could not find a decent  replacement, instead  it has a leather Charge saddle, which I paired with matching new  bar tape and toecage straps.    If you want the original saddle it was a Selle Royale Aero pearl white.  Otherwise it is as close to original looking as I could get.


For the final touch,  2 new replica Rayleigh bottles to match the period.
