The reverse of the coin shows a wonderful representation of the Garden of Hesperides, a legendary place in Greek mythology. According to the story, the garden was an orchard filled with fruit trees that bore golden apples of immortality, which were guarded by three nymphs, known as the Hesperides. The design has a partial colorations with shades of blue and the fruits are selectively gilded.
