Slider AC Induction Motor Controller, voltage range 80-115V input,  96V with a 600A peak current output (250A continuous). Ideal for a small classic EV conversion (e.g. a Beetle, 2CV, Mini, Smart Roadster or Fiat 500) with a 96V AC Induction Motor (e.g. the HEC AC 50-30) and regenerative braking.

Similar to the Currtis 1236 / 1238 but with (comparatively) easily programmable CAN bus interface

Brand new and unused, rebranded from Slider by GreenMotorTech (a fairly well known Chinese small EV manufacturer) for use in their Beetle EV conversion kits, but I ended up spending a fortune on a Curtis instead because I'm not experienced enough to understand the instructions and didn't really need the CAN bus integration.

Basic installation instructions / wiring are easy to understand, so it may be just 'plug and play' if you don't need to do any advanced programming.

Supplied with programmer, fitting instructions, large heat sink, CAN bus interface specs (if you can understand the instructions), loom and PC programming software.

Features

EDIT: I've just discovered if you attach the "Chinglish" BMS CAN bus instructions to ChatGPT4 and ask it questions about the document (e.g. how to get a current or temperature reading) it gives you an answer / explanation in plain English, which makes everything much easier to understand :-)

For example:
"Tell me how to get a current reading" gives:
  1. Extract the values of the relevant bytes from CAN bus data packet 3 (charger status).
  2. Combine the high and low bytes.
  3. Apply the formula: Current (A)=Combined Value×Scale
Plus useful / understandable instructions on which bytes to read, how to read them, etc.
