HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: Ron Simmons & 2 Cold Scorpio defeated ECW World Champion Shane Douglas (w/ Sherri Martel) & Brian Pillman (sub. for Steve Austin) when Simmons pinned Douglas after the 12:30 mark when Simmons caught Douglas attempting a leapfrog and hit a powerslam; prior to the bout, Sherri announced Austin was out with an injury with Douglas saying only the Hollywood Blondes could take him to the limit in WCW and if he couldn't have Austin he didn't want anyone; Sherri then introduced Pillman as Douglas surprise partner, with Pillman coming out in his Hollywood Blonde attire; after the contest, Sherri smiled over the loss, with Pillman chasing her into the ring and taking her shirt off revealing a Ric Flair picture tucked in her top; Douglas then tore up the photo and dropped Sherri with a piledriver; moments later, Douglas cut an in-ring promo claiming Flair sent Sherri to Philadelphia to screw him and called her a piece of shit, with the crowd chanting "Flair is dead" (Pillman's surprise debut)

Dangerously) & the Tazmaniac defeated ECW TV Champion Dean Malenko & Joe Malenko via disqualification; Sabu worked the match wearing a neckbrace; late in the bout, ECW Tag Team Champions Public Enemy attacked Sabu while the Malenkos double teamed the Tazmaniac; eventually, Sabu sustained a spike piledriver from the champions, with Dangerously trying to come to his aid but then sustaining a moonsault off the top from Rocco Rock through a table set up in the ring; as the Malenkos held Taz, Rocco put Sabu through a table with a somersault splash off the top
