A rare in-line (Same family) set of six Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Table Forks in the Old English pattern  4 made in 1803 by Peter, Ann & William Bateman in London and two made by Wm Eley, Wm Fearn & Wm Chawner in 1805 and 1811 all with the same crest in excellent condition.

The crest appears to be that of a griffin with outstretched claws that I have located but unfortunately it is associated with a large number of names. The source for this in formation is Farbairn's Crests of the Families of Great Britain and Ireland 1986 1992 Edition.

From the E. F. Hutton Collection.
