This No 8 Griswold skillet, while having been through a lot over the years, is still in usable condition. It is in fully restored condition and was manufactured during the War years, 1939-1944. Both the exterior and interior surfaces have been heavily etched by corrosion. This skillet came to me in a pile of others and I hate to discard these old skillets. It just need to find the right home. Six sheets of printer paper slipped under one edge on the bottom stops movement on a granite surface.  No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin.

Test for flatness of skillet. With the skillet resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim searching for movement.  If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the until pot stops moving.
