VINTAGE MADAME ALEXANDER 17" WENDY BRIDE with MARGARET FACE ~ # 1852 "Charming Bride"

Here is a vintage early 1950s Madame Alexander Wendy bride doll. She is a 17" hard plastic walker with blue sleep eyes and a blonde synthetic wig with 2 original barrettes. The doll has all her applied eyelashes and nicely painted facial features. Her body is in very good, pre-owned condition with no deep scratches, dark stains or seam splits. Wendy wears a tagged white bridal gown with a satin bodice, tulle short sleeves, and two layers of tulle for the skirt portion, over a taffeta underslip. She also wears lace-trimmed taffeta panties. She has her original tulle veil with cute flowers on each side, matching floral bouquet, nylon stockings (a small seam opening; see photo), garter, and center snap shoes with a fuzzy bottom and small heel. Shoes have some fraying at the edges. Aside from this (and the stocking issue), all clothes are in very good condition with no stains or rips. Note: I could not see any manufacturer's marking on her body, but not all Alexander hard plastic dolls are marked.

Because I am not the original owner, I cannot guarantee that these items have never been exposed to smoke, pets or peanut butter, however my nose is sensitive and I don't detect any unpleasant odors. This item has lived in my smoke-free home as long as I have owned it.
