The seeds travel wrapped in moist coconut fiber inside a ziplock plastic bag to retain moisture. In this state the seeds continue to grow throughout the journey, ready to be planted in pot as soon as they arrive at your home. Do not expose to direct sunlight for the first two years

Dictyosperma Album
Princess palm, Hurricane palm

A tall growing, attractive palm, native to the Mascarene Islands, with a prominent, pale crownshaft and swollen trunk base. With its elegant, feather-shaped leaves, it makes an attractive pot plant when young. It grows fast given a sunny position and adequate water and feed, and will succeed in tropical, subtropical, and some warm temperate areas. The Hurricane Palm can also take considerable coastal exposure.
