Up for auction this week is this AMAZING Vintage 1970s Modernist Handcrafted Mid Century Modern, Brutalist, Quality Metal And Glass Bracelet And Silver plated Modernist Ring !

These pieces come from my personal collection, were purchased during my time working throughout Scandinavia, but it's time for them to go to a new home as I just don't get to wear them as much as I used to, and need to be appreciated for the wonderful geometric and fluid Modernist design.

These are truly wonderful sculptural jewellery pieces, very much "One of a kind" creations and genuine 1970s pieces, and the ring is a size 8.5 - 9, but is adjustable and can be opened up a bit more to accommodate a size up. The Modernist - Brutalist style vintage jewellery is finally being appreciated and celebrated ! Although every time I've worn these pieces over 3 decades, I always receive compliments and on occasion an offer to sell them. So now is your opportunity to add these to your interesting vintage collection! These are true art pieces, so it doesn't matter that they're not made of precious materials, it's all in the design and handcrafted execution. Both pieces are individually designed and handcrafted in good quality base metals and mineral glass (Bracelet). The ring is designed from house nails which have been smelted, sculpted and redesigned and then silver plated. It's a gorgeous design, reminds me a lot of ocean corals and seaweeds, and is a very solid sturdy piece, like most modernist - brutalist jewellery. It's meant to last centuries!

The bracelet consists of three square panels which are designed to look deliberately ancient. Each panel has been cast from excellent quality base metals, from an original hand beaten metal panel, and then set with handcrafted molten mineral glass enamel to the centre of each panel resembling a "Rock Pool" style eye. With a chain and toggle clasp. This is a very solid heavier type piece as just like the ring or was not just designed to be a wearable piece of sculpture, but to last more than one life time. Both pieces are in EXCELLENT vintage condition. I absolutely love modernist jewellery and especially this pair, as they're true pieces of art, not mass produced rubbish. These are both bold statement style pieces, that will definitely give the wearer a wonderful definition of modern style. Don't miss out, there's not another!
