This is a Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Roseville, Ohio majolica dogwood jardiniere #421. The planter is large (7 3/4" tall and 10 1/2" in diameter) and very heavy (about 7 lb 5 oz). It is beautifully decorated with embossed flowers on the outside. The glaze on the planter is glossy, made in various shades of green and brown. The planter has a faint impressed stamp under the glaze: RRP CO, Roseville OH, NO. 421, USA. They marks are hard to read. The planter has a small imperfection in the glaze close to the bottom and what looks like a small chip at the bottom (photo #12). They are hidden when the planter stands (photo#15). It is a lovely and unique planter.
