The TALES OF THE GREEN BERET comic strip, written by Robin Moore

 and originally illustrated by Joe Kubert, started out as a limited run of 72 

daily strips on September 20, 1965.  On April 4, 1966 it resumed as a daily and 

Sunday strip.  Howard Liss is credited with the scripts for the rebirth of this strip. 

In January 1968, John Celardo assumed the artwork and remained

 with the strip to the conclusion on July 21, 1968.
