Description/Interesting Notes:

A unique example of multicolor tanzanite from Merelani!!! This specimen consists of a sharp, glassy, undamaged crystal of tanzanite that exhibits a unique, light yellow color with an intense, blue and purple phantom followed by a zone of slightly greenish yellow!!! I should note that the crystal shows dramatic pleochroism and shows impressive color change depending on the angle of view - as can be seen in the pics where the crystal is sideways - the bottom zone of color turns to purple while the yellow portion turns an almost colorless-yellow!!! The intense purplish-blue phantom is very showy from all angles of course!!! The crystal is sharp, glassy, gemmy, complete and undamaged!!! Very showy and dynamic in person!!!
