Description.
A charmingly painted, polychrome floral barber's bowl, in the style of Strasbourg, but unmarked. Central spray to the well of the plate, accompanied by another well-painted spray to the rim, opposite the indented section. Two further smaller sprays. Late 18th/early 19th century.

Condition.
Clear stilt marks to the reverse of the piece. Some wear to the central floral spray. A small patch of good modern restoration to the rim. Two holes to the footrim to enable hanging of the piece.
