This is a unique one if a kind handcrafted, vintage folk art recipe box. This box is made of wood and is of solid construction. There is decorative folk art painting done on the sides and along the top. The hinged lid opens to reveal a rectangular storage space for recipe cards, or small items. There is also a small lip at the front of the base where the card being used could be propped up for easy view.

This is a freestanding piece and it is very sturdy. this was likely made in the 1980s and has a sweet country look. There is a bear hand painted on the front of the lid adding a quaint look . This piece is in very nice condition. All of the edges are sanded smoothly and it would make a nice retro display piece, as well.
