Listed is this vintage original greetings card sent by a soldier serving in South Africa during the Anglo Boer War in 1899. The front of the card is labelled ‘ Everlasting Silver Leaves from Table Mountain, Cape Town, South Africa’. The inside of the card shows a scene from the Battle of Stornberg and a parriotic view of a British Soldier labelled ‘ Gentleman in Khaki ‘ with a greeting message to the senders brother.

The card measures 150mm x 115mm folded and 150mm x 225mm unfolded.


The card is in good condition for its age, it has some age related staining / handling marks in the form of wear to the corners & edges. It has a crease mark on the front panel which I have shown in the last photograph above.
